Homes by Taber Makes Donation to Local Food, Resource Center

OKLAHOMA CITY — Local homebuilder Homes by Taber will present a check for $11,250 this month to Project 66 Food & Resource Center as part of its Taber Cares charity initiative.

Project 66 is a faith-based 501-c3 nonprofit at the forefront of the fight against hunger in central Oklahoma providing food and resources as an affiliate of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. In 2017, Project 66 served 16,839 people representing 5,613 families and distributed more than 867,645 pounds of food.

Every month, Homes by Taber selects a local charity as the recipient of its Taber Cares contributions. Taber encourages employees from all departments to volunteer their time and contributes $250 from each home sold during the month to the chosen charity as well.

Other recipients so far in 2019 include The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Infant Crisis Center, Hope Center of Edmond, and Fostering Sweet Dreams. The June recipient will be Edmond YMCA – Miracle League.
